MALIK
Malik is not just a movie that is more than two and a
half hours long and can be seen cheaply. The film is also a reminder of the
great genocide and genocide that Kerala has not forgotten. Mahesh Narayanan's
political drama 'Malik' is based on real events and his imagination. The film
takes the audience into the living environment of a marginalized people.
Malik tells the life story of Sulaiman Ali, a
Ramadan-minded god who puts humanity above anything other than caste and
religion. It is the story of Sulaiman Ali and Ramadapalli, the shores of
Edavathura, with the constantly neglected seafaring lives that society and the
state have always seen only as second-class citizens. Sulaiman Malik is a man
who fought for his life against the injustices perpetrated against the children
of the sea and the minority community. The story progresses through different
periods and through different characters.
Ramadapally is the place where Sulaiman Malik's family
took refuge from where life was supposed to end. From there his life was for
Ramadan. He is credited with the prosperity of the Ramadapalli today, and Malik
is a man of the Ramadapalli who is the solution to all problems.
As the screen fills for Suleiman Malik, Fahad presents a
spectacular display of performances to the audience waiting for ‘Fafa’ magic.
Through Malik, Fahad has created a benchmark for himself to break the
expectations of the audience one step further and break tomorrow.
‘Malik’ tells the life of the characters, including
Fahad, in their thirties. Fahad has been able to do full justice to every era.
Fahad's hand in body language in the aging scenes is admirable.
In general, in hero-centric films, the hero's only
chariot is used, but 'Malik' corrects those habits. Along with Fahad, Nimisha
Sajayan, Vinay Fort, Dileesh Pothen and Joju are all competing in the film.
Moment presents a character who is twice his age. After a while, the beloved
Malayalam actress Jalaja also fills Malik with a strong character. Salim Kumar,
Dinesh Prabhakar, Malaparvati, Divya Prabha, Appani Sasi, Indrans and Sudhi
Koppa have also performed their roles brilliantly.
Malik's theatrical experience, which we lost in the
context of the Kovid lockdown, will only disappoint the audience when a
surviving tale of Ramadhanpalli's survival story is screened with a talented
cast of actors and excellent technology. Malik is a film that demands 100%
theatrical experience. Malik was produced by Anto Joseph Film Company with an
investment of around Rs 27 crore.
‘Malik’ excels not only in the performance of the
characters but also in directing, photography, editing, background music and technology.
Mahesh Narayanan Malik's story is told in a way that accompanies the audience
who came to Ramadappally. The director has succeeded in keeping the audience
together from beginning to end. Realistic visuals and seamless editing
facilitate the audience's journey with the film. Sanu John Varghese is the
cinematographer of the film. Mahesh Narayanan is Malik's editor and Sushin
Shyam composes the music and background music.
Malik's film addresses all human emotions, including the realities of life,
the excitement of youth, violence, love, boredom, death, deceit, hatred,
political gambles, the machinations of a government that divides people into
religious ideologies, and the lust for power. A direct view of the lives of
green men. ‘Malik’ shows who are the real exploiters who are poisoning religion
in the name of brotherhood, co-operation and humanity.
